Last month I brought the kitchen and 1/2 bath remodel from this house and now I am revealing the primary and guest bathrooms! Both bathrooms had a wall separating the shower area from the vanity. This wall was making the bathrooms feel smaller and it was harder to move around in them-especially in the primary bath!
In the primary bathroom removing the wall allowed us to make the shower bigger and more accessible for my client. We were also able to add a bench and the tile in this shower niche is one of my favorites. I went with more neutral tones in here. Everyone always think contemporary coastal design has to include blues or greens and while those are the most common colors, they aren't the only ones you see at the beach. I really wanted to incorporate some of the more neutral tones found in the sand and marsh area. The shower wall tile from Genrose (which I sell at the showroom if you're interested!) fit the bill perfectly for this project.
Of course we had to incorporate some blues/greens into the space and we did that with the vanity. We also carried the beautiful acrylic knobs from the kitchen into the bathrooms as well. The lighted mirror rounds out the design and provides extra light for getting ready in the morning.
In the guest bathroom we also removed the wall making this bathroom feel twice the size! In here we also used tile from Genrose and my all time favorite tile which is this hand painted tile from Japan. I love the soft greens in it. The vanity in blue ties the whole design together.
So there you have it design loves! I hope you love the remodel and much as my client and I do. My favorite thing about my job is being able to take your home and design it in a way that not only speaks to you but functions well. Don't forget to follow me on social to stay up to date and next month I'm bringing you another whole house remodel and there may or may not be a secret door involved!
